About

In addition to my description below,  I now qualify as a self-published author! I am also a member of #RRBC (Rave Reviews Book Club) where there is plenty of author support. See http://ravereviewsbynonniejules.wordpress.com  This is such a supportive blogging community here at wordpress.com; I am so pleased to be a part of it!  My Amazon author page is http://amzn.to/1t3BYGU and my brand new Smashwords author page is http://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/pcserene where I debuted a free short story, but plan to get all of my e-books there as well!

My first published e-book Made for Me, a sci-fi romance, self-published on Amazon Kindle, is available at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DZ5230G (U.S.), or try the Universal link http://bookgoodies.com/a/B01DZ5230G, also available at Kindle Unlimited!  Update:  As of 6/06/16, I have published my second e-book on Kindle, titled Seeing Through Sampson’s Eyes, a sci-fi novel of coming of age and searching for identity, available for download on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GNNCHHQ which conveys a much different tone, and is a little edgier than my first e-book.  My 3rd e-book gives a little closure to my central character, Norrie.  It can also be read as a stand-alone and can be downloaded for .99 at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JVET5OW

As of 6/25/17, I have published a page on my blog that details the books I have published and written, since my time-travel novel, Detours in Time, has been released just this month!  Please view it at pamelascanepa.wordpress.com/my-published-books

Who am I?  I am a woman and a mother, now in my forties.  My posts and writing will reflect that, as well as my struggles with anxiety and acceptance.  Writing has been purgative for me, as well as providing a creative escape.  I adore science fiction and historical fiction, and hope to publish in both genres someday.  Currently,  I have a full length Science Fiction book in the works.  This site is a conduit for getting my thoughts out there.  What have I got to fear?  Now is the time!

    1. Thank you, Andy! Reading about you and your travels on your blog, I see that you must be finding solace in nature or your travels! My anxiety has been an up and down thing, but I do think I am dealing with it better lately. I am developing more of a network for expressing and venting it. Nice to meet you!

  8. Hello Pam

Thanks for the follow! How have you been and how’s your blog doing?
I don’t know if you know that I moved my blog to a self-hosted platform. This has prevented me from connecting with WordPress bloggers like I used to. I would still like to remain in contact with your blog. Do you have an RSS feed I can subscribe to?
If you would still like to follow my blog, may I add you to my mailing list? I send out one email per day with all the blogs posted for the day including blogging tips. You can also unsubscribe at any time if you feel you want to stop receiving the emails. If you are happy for me to subscribe you, please send me your email address.
Also, I created a blogger tips group to connect with all my long last WordPress blogger friends, and to help all of us to learn from each other. I would love for you to share your knowledge in the group and connect with other bloggers. Here’s the link:

  9. Hi Pamela,
Just a quick note. Did you not toggle your coffee share for this weekend to accept comments? I didn’t see that normal box to reach out and greet you. Today is Nov. 2, 2019 @ 1pm Pacific.

  10. Hi Pamela. Thanks for looking out for me in our coffee share. I don’t know how we got separated. On our most recent InLinkz page, I found your coffee share, but if you found your way there, you should have seen my share a bit earlier than yours. On my screen, mine was #6 in the list.
Regarding my site navigation, yea – this is a problem, especially with my coffee share essays. There are so many now that the menu system for my WordPress theme is overwhelmed. They are all there but I had to be very concise to have any chance of making things fit and even with this, I’m outgrowing what the menu structure can do for me. I need a new theme and have been putting off dealing with that hassle.
Others have been confused by my naming convention, those numbers at the end of each share article. In one of the menu notes, I describe it as just a date of release, so for last week’s essay, I titled it: Coffee Share 191214. The digits position tell you what the date is if you know to expect YYMMDD or 2 digits of the year, 2 of the month and 2 of the day. I have each article sorted into groups of menus, but this system is close to breaking down and is already hard to use. I either have to move to flat files with simple lists of links or I need a new theme.
    Yuk!
Anyway, I’m very pleased that you cared enough to look for my weekend coffee share. If you still want to see it, here’s a quick link to get you there. Your visits are always welcome.
