If you read and loved Detours in Time, you’ll love to see what’s next for Tabitha and Milt in Undercurrents in Time!  Get it this week on a Kindle Countdown deal in the U.S. and U.K., and you’ll pay just .99 for the Kindle version, a full-length book (Or the equivalent in the U.K.)

Why you should read Undercurrents in Time, from one of the most recent reviews:

“A slow, but character driven start changes into a faster-paced thriller as we follow Tabitha’s adventures in the future where she encounters a cluster of interesting characters and even the enemy Milt had been preparing for himself.
Overall, Undercurrents of Time was a good mix of sci-fi, thriller and character focus, and it looks like there may be a sequel too.”

Undercurrents in Time also ties up some loose ends for the main characters, such as the dangerous enemy they’ve both never yet met, while diving into their pyschology a little bit more.  Read it and see what happens!

Tabitha, a carefree artist, and Milt, a socially awkward scientist came together in Detours in Time to explore the future and in the process, found an enemy they didn’t know existed.  What will they do to stop an enemy they have not met yet?

See what happens next in the sequel, Undercurrents in Time.

Blurb:

Time travel took Tabitha and Milt to places they could never have imagined….
Now it seems the very things that cemented their bond will also drive a wedge between them emotionally. Travel to the future, discovery of a long-lost, troubled family member, and an unplanned baby all have taken a toll. Tabitha struggles to accept her new identity as a mother while remaining a strong, independent woman. She longs for a getaway, even a short one, but that getaway puts her on a collision course with danger.
Milt is busy trying to prevent a horrible future disaster at the hands of an enemy he has not yet met. While concerned, Milt doesn’t even suspect Tabitha’s plans, the very plans that will have her facing Milt’s nemesis.
Tabitha risks it all on a brief escape. How will she handle the unforeseen dangers she faces and make her way back home? How far will Tabitha and Milt go to prevent tragedy?

Things are moving along with my upcoming novel, Undercurrents in Time!  It has received its first ARC review by a book blogger.  Here is a snippet:  “After an emotion-filled tight rope of a beginning, this tale settles in and an easy-to-follow adventure begins! A little danger, a lot of luck and some amazing characters really make this tale tick!” -Dianne, Tome Tender Blog   You may visit it here: Tome Tender Cover Reveal and Review

Undercurrents in Time is also on Goodreads.  Please add it to your “Want to Read” shelf; it helps my book gain visibility!  Just enter the title in to the Search bar and it comes up as Undercurrents in Time, Detours in Time Book 2.  I’d much appreciate it.  You can also pre-order a Kindle copy for just .99 between now and June 16th.  After which it will be going up to 2.99, as it is a full-length novel.  Visit the Amazon page at Undercurrents in Time on Amazon to pre-order or preview and read the full book description.  Whatever you can do, I thank you for the support!

#WeekendCoffeeShare. Closing in…

Coffee, Coffee Beans, Cookie, Biscuit

Welcome to my Weekend Coffee Share, hosted by Allison at Eclectic Ali in which I will do a drive by chat.  Stay and enjoy whatever beverage you choose, mine is a full-cup day, and there is much to do!

The first exciting news is that I am done proofing my manuscript for my upcoming sequel, Undercurrents in Time!  I am closing in on my goal!  I’ll send it off for formatting today.  I had fun with graphics one day and came up with a great idea for a teaser.  Here it is:

With a start of the engine, the car seemed to purr as if to ask, “Why have you never done this before_”

What’s special about this car?  It’s a time travel vehicle that happens to be housed within a classic automobile.  How does it fit with the storyline?  Tabitha takes off in it, without her husband’s knowledge.  Whatever could go wrong?

I’ll be sharing the book trailer soon and more of the blurb.  I had it made for me, I think it really rocks!

What else is exciting?  I’ll be turning 50 soon, very soon.  I am excited, because this gives me reason to make all kinds of funny jokes about myself.  Just you wait….

So, my summer will consist of planning, promoting, a book release, probably writing blog posts and interviews,  and a little travel in July.  Not to mention, June brings my boyfriend’s birthday and a Pixies concert!  This 80’s girl is going to rock.  Never mind the muscles spasms I’ve had in my knee lately.  I’m just so excited this morning.  Stay tuned to this blog!  There is so much good stuff to come…

Weekend Coffee Share….Belated

Welcome to my belated Weekend Coffee Share, hosted by Eclectic Ali!  Had I posted this on time, well, it wouldn’t have sounded very different.

I’m experiencing allergy issues and/or laryngitis.  Briefly, I suspected strep throat, though I don’t think I could have held out this long if that were the case.  So, my weekend consisted of Mucinex, salt-water gargling, Netflix watching, a little bit of reading, and a little bit of writing.  That, and posting photos of my dog on Instagram.  It’s a new hobby or escape of mine, the world of #dogstagram.  Check it out.  You can find my canine angel at Bixby_Fluffikins!  He cheers me in any mood, and all the other dogs at #dogstagram are a joy as well!

At any rate, the annual St. Patrick’s Day tradition pretty much always finds me recovering or nursing an allergy related malady, so I barely even participate, despite finding out from Ancestry DNA that I am 2% Irish.  At least this year I didn’t get a stomach bug!  (Those are probably related to my public school teaching job).  That’s a story in itself.  Enough belly-aching. Pun not intended….

I’ve been working on revising my WIP, a sequel to Detours in Time!  Yes, I think I’ll have it all done by this summer, and I am due to send it off to an editor, today or tomorrow.  So, I have been neglecting the blog a little.  I’ve overloaded myself on Netflix, and the new obsession is Travelers, a mysterious sci-fi series about people from the future coming back to set certain things right.  I’ve been reading how to write a screenplay, started another installment in the Irish Lottery series by Gerald Hansen, and I also started reading The Shack for a book club. Why did I start two books?  One is on Kindle and the other paperback, so it depends on mood and how long it takes the phone battery run out of juice.  That, and, I have to be in the right mood for how to write a screenplay.  Though, it all looks familiar, but I am taking notes and bookmarking.

Speaking of Book clubs, my church’s book club decided to read my book, Detours in Time, and we met to discuss it this last Thursday.  I, with my hoarse-y voice, was not going to miss it for the world.  I was asked to prepare discussion questions.  So I did!  It was interesting and was quite an honor! If you have a book club and would like to read a sci-fi book that focuses most on characters and moral dilemmas, consider this one.  Let me know, and I will supply discussion questions!

Working on a sequel to Made for Me! Ink…

IMG_0122

So I decided, this time, I would do some pen and paper writing.  I’m working on a sequel to Made for Me!  Some are asking about a sequel already; others are saying, “Give your first book a chance to sell!”  I’m not sure which is the way for me; I’ll have to read more of the free e-book and the online article about self promotion for self-published authors, since I am also still self-promoting Made for Me.  Good thing I like to read, too!  By the way, if anyone has some really good tips on this self-marketing or “when to publish a sequel,” I will be most appreciative if you share!

This past week I have felt like I’ve been neglecting my blogging.  I have gotten involved in day to day life, my volunteer committee, my boyfriend’s art show tomorrow, and my day job!  But guess what, I have so many book ideas in my head right now.  I seriously could handle quitting the day job and JUST writing!  (I say that now, but my hand would get pretty tired).  Anyhow, I hope I am doing a good job at building up an author platform and setting myself up for later visibility and recognition as a writer.  It’s really a snowball…It just needs a little help to get momentum at the start, but then, it snowballs into an even bigger snowball!  Do I dare dream about becoming an avalanche like Stephen King?  It could happen, if I’m daring enough!  I wrote about a bucket list item 1-2 months ago.  I think I will always have a bucket list, because maybe my bucket keeps growing larger and larger!  That, my friends, is probably one of several things keeping me going right now.

What’s with this paper and ink?  Something about it just helped me get started sooner, but I can’t wait to get it neatly typed into the computer.  The nice part, however, of the paper and ink, is that pens are not as high maintenance as pencils, and that paper notebook is much easier to lug around from dining room table, sofa, car, to wherever because I-simply-must-have-it-in-case-I-think-of-something!  I spent far too many years doing the opposite.  I’d get a great idea, and think, yeah, I’ll remember that for when I have time to write.  Well, now I have time to write because I make the time!  I’m not gonna be the negative Nancy I was.  I will dream big.  My bucket will get bigger and bigger, because I plan to catch a lot of fish (The flying dreamy goal variety)!

Life is good, my friends.  I am dreaming, and writing.  This is truly living the dream!
